Julia, I'm admiring your beautiful cups while drinking a warm chamomile tea from the grey cup that you gave me. I'm thinking that a constant so far in your 56 cups is that very slowly the handles are connected to the bases. In cup #56 the handle stems from the base....Is that an allegory for how we should handle and live our lives? :-) Marinés
Yes,Yes....I think YES!! I've been noticing and reflecting on the gradual shift in the relationship of the handle to the cup and the meaning in this. Thanks for giving words to it Marines. Julia
More sculpting!....the cup is held softly by swirling bands in the base that sweep up to form the handle...softly, swirling, sweeping, swan....
